Averie Brookie

MS, LMHC, LPC, CRC, CVE
She/Her/Hers

Averie became a counselor because she has always been fascinated by interpersonal dynamics. Growing up in a large, blended family, she developed an early appreciation for the differences in personality and communication styles that shape connection. Early on, she knew she wanted a career centered on understanding people and building meaningful relationships. Being a counselor allowed her to combine this passion with her interest in supporting individuals with disabilities and health challenges, with a particular focus on impact to employment, independence, and overall quality of life. Today, counseling gives her the opportunity to create a space where people feel truly seen and heard as they navigate their own unique paths.

Before becoming a counselor, Averie worked as a clinical coordinator supporting physicians and medical trainees as they navigated complex health conditions and returned to practice. She also worked with State Vocational Rehabilitation Agencies in Georgia and Washington and at the University level supporting individuals with medical, psychiatric, and physical health conditions by providing guidance and job placement assistance.

Averie moved to the PNW in 2020 and relocated to Bend in 2025 because she was ready for more “bluebird” days. Averie enjoys spending time hiking, backpacking, practicing yoga, collaging and exploring with her dog.

Averie is grateful to work as a counselor supporting individual journeys toward growth, healing, and meaningful change.
